Adorable street food in the region of Lassithi: Cantine at Karavostasi, Istron

We are always looking for places where locals go, and small enterprises offering local, seasonal, products, fostering thus the sustainable development of the region.

This #cantine at the northern part of Karavostasi beach, near to Istron, #Lassithi, was suggested by a friend. So we visited the place and ordered the basics in a Greek cantine: Greek #salad and pork #souvlaki.

The place name of the beach, Karavostasi, is meaning a place where boats stop. Actually the northern part of the beach is leeward and probably served as port for ages; moreover you can still see some modern day boats parked there.
